16 acres of woods and a classic log cabin house might be at stake. There are surveyers checking out the land that runs from Briarcliff Road  near Briarcliff place (just north of Chrysler & across from Oakawana). Those woods run all the way behind Livey Road and Greenglade. I think there are 16 acres, and the woman who owned and protected the property all these years recently died. Apparently one developer already has an option to develop four houses near Briarcliff, and now they're checking out the rest. The land actually has access in the middle of Greenglade Road.

The developer who bought the land from the son of the owner is trying to get the financial backing to begin actually developing the land.  He contacted  at least one major builder to partner up with him.  He wants to build something like 14 $1.5 million dollar homes.  The major builder wasn't interested unless they built more homes with a target price of 750-800K   For the record, those 16 acres have access on Greenglade Road between the fourth and fifth houses that is wide enough for a narrow street. The woods are home to many OWLS. Will the developers leave a big area wooded?

Who do I call? What can we do?
